In her mythological and anthropological research, Professor Marija Gimbutas interpreted spirals, zigzags, and curving, snake-like incisions found on ancient artifacts as part of a symbolic language—one that defined women in Old Europe as creative and life-giving. The Aphea Dress features hand-sewn leather tubing in an anthropomorphic pattern to reflect the sinuous lines that echo the neolithic goddesses. These motifs echo throughout our Fall ’25 collection, carrying forward that ancient visual language as a statement of the divine feminine.
